2017 update

In the summer of 2017, I lost one of my best friends; a light to me and all whom she loved.
And someone I thought I would have the courage to return to and love has moved on.
I am learning (not too late?!) that I must be the agent of my life.

Late Bloomers is my meditation toward believing no time is wasted.

2009 – 2015

This blog is a work in progress like me.
My name is Susan. I was born in Seoul, grew up in Fayetteville, reached adulthood in Durham, learned Korean in Seoul, and went back to school in 2013. My personal philosophies go something like this–

do what you’re afraid of
turn your body in well-used
ask for advice

I’ll add another one I learned in 2013–you’re never too old to learn.

Currently, I am living with my brother and learning about economic development. In my spare time, I like to run in the forest and learn a little lindy hop. Thanks for stopping by.

    Hi Susan,
Sounds like you have had quite the journey so far! I came across your page when I googled image for a “F4 visa” and your card popped up first. (Try it yourself..) I thought it was a sample (not a real person) until I clicked on the origin of the image. I thought I should tell you to perhaps blur out your personal info on the card…it’s dangerous to have your ID float around on the world wide web. Just thought I should tell you. 😉
Anyway, as an alien living in Seoul myself, I enjoyed your posts. Thanks for sharing~

Hi, MB. Thanks for the visit and the heads up on my personal info. I hope your F4 visa application and renewal processes have been more pleasant 🙂 Good luck in Seoul and have fun. Thanks, MB!
